Whether you are a beginner who needs help with the basics or are just looking to improve your skills, our certified instructors will help you achieve your goals. We meet you where you are, starting at your current skill level and teaching at your pace, so you gain confidence, technique, and knowledge to keep progressing. This isn’t just a lesson, it’s your chance to discover a new passion, master the trails, and spend an unforgettable afternoon in the mountains.

At SkyPark, we work with all different age and skill levels, and our knowledgeable instructors are always ready to answer any questions and share insider tips. We’ll set you up for success and get you ready for the trails.

  • For individuals who have never ridden a bike.
  • Teaches balance, pedaling, braking, and looking ahead.
  • Equipment provided for this class.
  • For individuals who are new to mountain biking, but can ride fire roads or flat trails.
  • Teaches foot and body positioning, shifting, steering, light descending, safety, and more.
  • For individuals who want to re-learn the basics or can ride the Green to Intermediate trails.
  • Teaches ready/neutral positions, descending, cornering, roll-downs, and more.
  • For individuals who can ride the Intermediate to Advanced trails.
  • Teaches trackstand, various lifts, high-speed cornering, roll-down lunge, and more.
  • For individuals looking to fine-tune their skills in a personalized, private setting.
  • Does NOT teach jumping, drops, or tricks.
  • Ages 5+

Both group classes and private lessons are available. Ages 3+ welcome. All bike lessons must be booked online at least one day in advance. All bike lessons require an additional purchase of a Day Ticket or Annual Pass.

Please arrive at the park 10-15 minutes before your lesson is scheduled to begin. You will need time to check in through Admissions, meet your instructor, and inspect your equipment.

For your safety, closed-toe shoes and helmets are required (rental helmets are available for an additional fee). Elbow pads, knee pads, gloves, and eye protection are highly recommended. Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing, and make sure you have water.

Guests attending lessons have the option to bring their own mountain bikes or rent from The Bike Shop (Get 25% off your bike rental with purchase of a bike lesson!). All guest-owned mountain bikes and safety gear must be in good repair. Bikes should have mountain bike tires, front and rear brakes, and no throttle.

Children may attend bike lessons without their parents at the instructor’s discretion. For the safety of your child and others, unsafe or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Parents of children under the age of 15 must remain in the park during the bike lesson. Parents who are not attending the lesson with their child must leave reliable contact information with the instructor.

Paid admission is required for entry to SkyPark. Annual Passholders must present their current Annual Pass wristband at the time of entry. All guests entering the park must complete a waiver, regardless of participation in activities.
